On Ira Glass On The Internet

This is a Search Engine Podcast episode. If you don't know the show, you should definitely check it out on iTunes.

I wanted to share this because I found Ira's responses to be somewhat surprising. Two that were especially so:

He didn't know who Chris Anderson was, and was only vaguely (and seemingly dismissively) familiar with the whole "Free" manifesto; and

He didn't feel as though podcasting was necessary for This American Life. He'd be just as happy limiting the access to what we marketing dweebs call "appointment" listening.

Some good insights into how the rest of the world thinks--even those seemingly at the forefront of the "digital revolution," as it were. It's refreshing, since most of us Tweeters live in a digital echo chamber.

Rock on, Ira.
