Advertising: Sell That Mother$#@&*+=!
There are a few quotes in this trailer that are good one-offs, but taken together really paint a vivid picture--at least for me--of the chaos, duplicity, allure, hubris, idealistic tendencies and fun that the industry offers to any who care to dive in. To wit:
"This is the devil's workshop!"
"I got ya by the balls."
"What you can do [in advertising] is manufacture any feeling that you can manufacture."
"I hated the system. I hated the status-quo."
"Advertising should be statements about what the hell you think your life should be about."
"If you speak honestly, and use this profession to do that, weird shit can happen."
And here's a great one that cuts to the core of the personalities involved in this business, while absolutely implying that those who would agree with the statement <%= self.points %> are the self-same who are being referenced and assailed:
"There are a lot of people in this business, but damn few really good ones."
