These artistically-rendered plans illustrate the idyllic nature of closed communities while exposing their unfortunate by-products: isolation, the illusion of security, and the semi-paranoid dystopia that results from self-containment.

I would be especially concerned about my property value if I were one of the houses at the end of the nozzle skirt extension.

So that's what he was doing...

Film about Josh Harris, who now apparently resides in Ethiopia. Hmmm.

Although his premise seems to bear some resemblance to reality, I think his argument ignores the stronger human desire to survive in order to bolster his own conclusions.

As a species, we have shown ourselves to be quite adept at creating and using tools and techniques that engender stable, safe environments, no matter how illusory.

I am curious to see whether this doc exposes that Josh's vision--while not singular--is a dystopia that can be avoided once the rigors of mainstream civilizations are applied.
